About Wayne

A lifetime spent
understanding fish

Wayne grew up fishing the rivers and reservoirs around Corbin. He learned early that the bait you choose can mean the difference between an empty cooler and a day you'll talk about for years.

After decades on the water — and just as many evenings at the workbench — he started making his own lures. What began as a personal project soon drew in friends, then friends of friends, and eventually anglers from across the state who wanted what Wayne was building.

Today, Custom Fishing Baits BY Wayne is a small shop with a big reputation. Every lure that leaves the bench carries the same promise Wayne made to himself: make it something you'd be proud to cast.
